NORD Drivesystems, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS at SPS – smart production solutions 2023 Energy-efficient drives and solutions
From 14 to 16 November, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will present its large product portfolio of energy-efficient drives and solutions at SPS – smart production solutions 2023. The presentation’s focus will be on the NORD ECO optimisation service, the NORDAC PRO and NORDAC ON inverter series, and the high-efficiency IE5+ synchronous motors.

Modern automation technology requires economical and energy-efficient drive systems. NORD offers a variety of tailor-made, highly efficient drives from its modular product range for a wide range of industries worldwide. With its comprehensive application and industry expertise, the manufacturer from Bargteheide also developed services that reveal saving potentials to companies.
NORD ECO service
The NORD ECO service helps companies to find the most efficient drive solution for their specific application. Using suitable drive systems not only helps to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions but also saves costs for administration, maintenance and wear. For this purpose, the NORD ECO box measures and analyses the energy consumption of individual drives in detail.
NORDAC PRO: The all-rounder among control cabinet inverters
The NORDAC PRO inverter series for powers up to 22 kW offers a wide variety of interfaces and functions in one product series. In addition to the space-saving installation in the control cabinet thanks to the slim book-size format, the devices impress with their high overload capacity and easy parameterisation via a Bluetooth interface.

Decentralised frequency inverters for horizontal conveyor technology
NORD has designed its decentralised NORDAC ON frequency inverters especially for the requirements of horizontal conveyor technology. The inverter family is characterised by an integrated multi-protocol Ethernet interface, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) capability, full pluggability and a compact design – for powers up to 3 kW. Operating values of the drive and sensor data can be pre-processed by the inverter’s integrated PLC and made available for further processing – for example for tasks in the field of condition monitoring. Being part of the NORD modular system, the decentralised frequency inverters can be ideally combined with the manufacturer’s geared motor portfolio.
Highly efficient synchronous drives
NORD designed its new IE5+ synchronous motors with special focus on their use in intralogistics as well as the food and beverage industry. They are available in a ventilated and a smooth surface version, up to powers of 4.0 kW.
The decentralised NORDAC ON+ frequency inverter has been specially optimised for the combination with the IE5+ synchronous motor. As with all NORD frequency inverters, it is equipped with a powerful PLC for functions close to the drive.
NORD will present its comprehensive solution portfolio at SPS in Hall 3A, Stand 451, and in Hall 7A, Stand 246.
