Child Help Foundation Celebrates Children’s Day with Cyber Safety and Creative Learning Initiatives
This Children’s Day, Child Help Foundation (CHF), a leading non-profit organization committed to child welfare and humanitarian support, marked the occasion with a wide array of initiatives aimed at empowering, educating, and delighting children across several states. Through digital safety workshops, creative celebrations, and vital support for schools, CHF reinforced its dedication to fostering safer and brighter futures for children nationwide.
In Mumbai, CHF conducted a specialised training workshop on ‘Cyber Crime and Digital Wellness’ for adolescent girls from the Bhandup community, in partnership with Mumbai Smiles NGO. The session underscored the global and often invisible threat of cybercrime, stressing the importance of digital wellness as a key tool for self-protection. Through interactive discussions, the workshop empowered the young participants with the skills and knowledge to navigate the digital world confidently and safely.
Meanwhile, CHF marked Children’s Day at its Education Centre, supported by CHF Delhi, with a day full of excitement and activities. Students enjoyed games like the lemon race and quiz competitions, while creative contests—including dance, greeting card making, speeches, and puzzles—brought extra vibrancy to the celebration. Winners were awarded certificates, exam boards, pouches, and other stationery, and all children received bags and caps as tokens of encouragement.
Children’s Day was also joyfully celebrated at the Government Ashram School, Kawale, Palghar, Maharashtra, where students indulged in fun activities such as leaf painting, thumb painting, and crafting windmills. The event fostered creativity and togetherness, creating memorable moments for the children.
Extending support to children with special needs, CHF donated a water purifier to Saksham Special School in Dombivli, ensuring access to clean drinking water and promoting a healthier learning environment.
Adding to the nation-wide celebrations, CHF conducted engaging Children’s Day activities across six Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in India:
● Ashraya – Handicapped Welfare Organisation, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha
● Charis Foundation, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
● Khirod Basini Childcare Institution, Angul, Odisha
● Koel Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Rourkela, Sundergarh District, Odisha
● NEEDS Charitable Trust, Bengaluru, Karnataka
● Special School of Joy, Kadma, Jharkhand
Reflecting on the nationwide initiatives, Mr. Shaji Varghese, CEO of Child Help Foundation, said, “Children’s Day is a reminder of our duty to protect every child’s well-being—physically, emotionally, and digitally. Through these programs across India, we strive to spread joy, raise awareness, and create nurturing environments where children can flourish. We invite everyone to join us in building a safer and brighter future for every child.”
These activities included games, art sessions, awareness interactions, and motivational engagement, touching the lives of children from diverse backgrounds and ensuring that every child felt valued and celebrated.
The Children’s Day celebrations organized by Child Help Foundation across various regions highlight the impact of collective efforts in making a positive difference in children’s lives. CHF continues to stay committed to its mission of empowering children through education, safety, and holistic development, helping ensure that their dreams shine brightly.
