Delhi Paralympic Committee President Parul Singh Conferred with National Icon Award 2026 for Outstanding Contribution to Para Sports
In a proud moment for the Delhi Paralympic Committee, its President, Ms. Parul Singh, was conferred with the prestigious National Icon Award 2026 in recognition of her remarkable contribution towards the promotion of para sports, empowerment of para-athletes, and the advancement of inclusive sports in India. The award was presented at a grand ceremony organised by Arogya Darpan at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.
The honour was bestowed upon Ms. Parul Singh by an eminent panel of dignitaries, including Shri Saurabh Kumar Tewari, Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India; Smt. Rashmi Mishra, National Advisor, MSME; Shri Pradeep Gandhi, Former Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha); and Shri Ram Verma, Chairman of the Organising Committee, National Icon Awards 2026.
The recognition acknowledges Ms. Singh’s unwavering commitment to creating greater opportunities for para-athletes, promoting equal access to sports, and strengthening the para sports ecosystem in Delhi. Under her leadership, the Delhi Paralympic Committee has continued to work towards fostering talent, encouraging participation, and ensuring greater visibility and support for athletes with disabilities.
Expressing gratitude on receiving the honour, Ms. Parul Singh said, “This award is a recognition of the collective efforts of every para-athlete, coach, official, and supporter who believes in the power of sports to transform lives.
